Heating and temperature stability was tested over a 72 hour period. CO2 was tested during an 8 hour period. Display, interface, solenoid and alarms all functioned as designed. CO2 monitoring and adjustment was stable. Alarm system designed as functioned.
Some suface scratches and light internal oxidation but nothing that affects function. The glass door handle was missing. Staff replaced it with a carabiner clip that does a surprisingly good job of keeping the inner door sealed.

The Thermo Napco 8000 Series 3598 is a direct-heat CO2 incubator used for various applications, including tissue and cell culture. Its stainless-steel interior is built out of coved-cornered stainless steel for easy cleaning, with simple-to-remove stainless steel shelves. This Napco CO2 incubator has a temperature range of +5 above ambient to 50°C with a uniformity of ±0.3°C and uses an TC sensor. Various alarms alert users to parameter deviations such as over-temperature and humidity.
This direct heat incubator prevents contamination with rapid HEPA filtration, which gives you Class 100 air quality in under 5 minutes. The unit’s sterilization is also easy to manage with a high-temperature decontamination cycle, which can be run overnight to eliminate all microbial life within the chamber. Users can monitor sample progress without disturbing the environment thanks to the dual-pane heated glass door, which decreases condensation from the chamber, resulting in stable temperatures.
