Clean and in excellent condition. Super stable performance across all temps over a full day of testing. 

Powered, ran quietly with all functions operating as designed. Menu operation via buttons and touchscreen was flawless, as was the fluid pumping systems. Rotating head moved easily and locked in place without issue. Overtemp and undertemp alarms worked as expected.

Tested various setpoints for extended periods to check control and accuracy. Heats quickly and maintains setpoint to within 0.01°. Cooling was steady. Our facility was out of glycol so we were only able to test to 1°C without icing. If the listing is still up, we will conduct -20°C tests when our glycol stock is replenished. 

System was cleaned and serviced onsite, including the following protocols:

  •Refrigeration coils inspected and cleaned
  •Filter cleaned/replaced
  •Internal circuitry checked for faults
  •Motor and fluid pump systems inspected

The VWR Model 89202-974 Refrigerated Circulating Bath offers precise temperature control, at temperature ranges from -20° to 200°C. The Controller uses the Swivel 180 technology, which allows you to rotate the controller independently from the bath. The Advanced Programmable Temperature Controller includes a full touch-screen display, and programmability (ten 100-step programs).

All heated circulating baths include LidDock lid stowing system and DuraTop, the precision molded phenolic bath top, which remains cooler at high temperatures and resists laboratory chemicals.

The VWR 89202-974 features connectors for USB-A and B, RS-232/RS-485, ethernet and external temperature probe. The Advanced Digital controller complies with DIN 12876-1 Class III safety requirements for use with flammable liquids, and is cETLus compliant.
