Clean and in excellent condition as shown. Pulled from a premiere state facility during a department upgrade. The system was regularly maintained and, according to the dept notes, fully functional. Powered and passed initialization. Computer connected to Detector and XYP as shown. The Bio-Plex HASP is Workstation license. Controls from Bio-Plex were therefore not available. Control of the Detector and XYP were tested via LX Maint/Diagnostics app.
We have 2 SD units (one Bio-Rad HTF, one Luminex SD). Neither confirmed connection though both were reported by their departments as working. As we are not experienced in working with these systems, we were unable to determine if the issue was com port conflicts, cable setup or LXService.ini config. We will include both sheath delivery systems.
The monitor works but seems to have color balance issues.
Comes as shown with the following:
• Luminex 100/200 Detector
• Luminex XYP Reader Stage
• Luminex SD Sheath Delivery Module
• Bio-Rad HTF Module
• PC with Bio-Plex and LX Software
• Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse
• Bio-Rad Bio-Plex Workstation Dongle
• 3 tubes of beads, all data, power and video cables
Hassle-Free Warranty
Due to the weight and sensitivity of this system we prefer to ship via freight carrier. The flat rate covers palletization and shipping to a commercial address with forklift or loading dock. If you prefer to use ground carrier, we will pack each unit separately and adjust shipping cost as necessary. If this cannot be done prior to purchase, any difference will be refunded prior to shipping.
Manufacturer Description
Features of the Luminex system include:
- Multiplexing: up to 80 analytes per sample using magnetic microspheres
- Dynamic range (typical): ≥3.5 logs
- Read time: 96-well plate in ≤45 min (up to 12,800 tests/hour)
- Daily start-up/shut-down: ≤30 min
Luminex xMAP technology
The open architecture of Luminex xMAP technology uses imaging, microspheres, digital signal processing, and traditional chemistry—combining proven technologies in a unique way.
Advantages of Luminex xMAP technology include:
- Helps reduce costs and labor through multiplexing
- Smaller sample size requirements compared to single result assays
- Enables fast, reproducible results from favorable kinetics of liquid bead array approach
- Broad coverage of applications, including protein expression and gene expression profiling
How Luminex xMAP technology works
Sets of magnetic microspheres are color-coded with combinations of red and infrared fluorophores. Each bead set is coated with a reagent specific to a particular bioassay, allowing the capture and detection of several specific analytes from a single sample. Optics in the compact analyzer excite the internal dyes that identify each microsphere as well as any reporter dye captured, providing quantitation of individual analytes on each microsphere. The analyzer reads many beads from each set, enabling rapid and precise results for several targets within a single sample.
