Clean and in good physical condition.  The unit powered up and ran for over 4 hours without any notable issues during our initial tests and photo shoot. Both roughing pumps and turbomolecular pump operated smoothly and produced excellent vacuum levels, sufficient enough to put the system into a 'ready' status. While we do not have adequate experience with this system to verify all clinical functions, we were able to test several key feature of the unit. See tech notes below. 

Interface Controller Module (model 030/00020/20) is included but was apparently left out of the photo shoot. Photos will be added later. The unit powered up but we did not have cables to test it.

Technician's Notes
  • System powered up using 120V AC
  • Both Edwards 70 roughing pumps ran smoothly producing good vacuum pressure
  • Alcatel turbomolecular pump spun up, running quietly and without vibration.
    • Vacuum pressure was considerable, easily drawing the system pressure below the setpoint of 5mmHg
    • High vac status monitor switched to green and remained at 'ok' status for the remainder of the test session
  • Solenoids for vacuum, backfill, degas load and unload all functioned
  • Control panel responded to input
  • Both mantle heat controls and sensors functioned as designed
    • Mantles were clean and in excellent condition
  • All vacuum controls and sensors responded and functioned, though both vacuum and system status vac tended to overshoot setpoint slightly
  • Unable to verify platform up/down functionality as without a manual, I was unable to determine which control or procedure activated the platform motor
  • Dewars appear to be in excellent condition
  • Front plexiglass shield in excellent condition
    • Sliding action was functional if not perfectly smooth
  • Upper, rear panel is missing
We are selling this for parts as we do not have the knowledge or experience to definitively prove clinical function but it appears that most systems in this unit function as designed. While the unit does appear to be complete, there may be parts missing that we are not aware of so please check the photos carefully. The Micromeritics ASAP 2010 (Accelerated Surface Area and Porosimetry System) provides high quality surface area (BET) and porosity measurement on different types of solid materials based on the gas adsorption theory. Carbon nanotubes and catalysts are characterized using this technique. The Micromeritics ASAP 2010 system consists of an analyzer equipped with two sample preparation ports and one analysis port, a control module, and an interface controller which helps the operation to be controlled easily and accurately. In addition, the Micromeritics ASAP 2010´s software (not included) allow us to perform automatic analysis and collect a variety of analysis reports.
